Before chrome took over, luncheonettes and soda counters furnished their floors with cast-iron bases. This table brings that pre-war character: a black face with generous rounded corners and a wood edge, on a twin cast-style base with scrolled feet joined by a stretcher.
Construction
- Black face in high-pressure laminate or sintered stone with rounded corners
- Wood edge band
- Twin cast-style metal base with scrolled feet and center stretcher, black finish
- Levelers on each foot
It suits retro rooms with subway tile and pendant lights, and works as a freestanding four-top with chairs. For booth use we usually recommend a pedestal base instead, so knees do not meet the stretcher.
Options: size, face, edge, base finish (black, aged bronze).
A two-top version on a single cast-style column is also available. The scrolled base works especially well with bentwood chairs and white subway tile. Levelers are fitted to every foot.
